Times of crisis are a major challenge for all age groups. We know from trauma research that external safety is the prerequisite for inner safety. Babies and small children in particular are dependent on sensitive, secure attachment figures for safe development.
How can we preventively promote resilience in caregivers and children in order to develop skills in dealing with the consequences of crises? What effects do early stress factors have on later life and how can they be healed in later life?
On the one hand, international research findings will be presented at this congress. On the other hand, we want to present and discuss existing treatment approaches in the medical, psycho-therapeutic and socio-pedagogical fields of work. We also want to promote dialogue and bring together those who are involved in this field. Our aim is to maintain existing contacts and make new ones in order to intensify our co-operation and expand our network. The focus is on the first year of life.
To offer you a flexible and attractive conference experience, we will organise the congress hybrid: in presence in the green Duisburg-Wedau and the plenary conference on 16th and 17th May 2025 via livestream. Lectures of the plenary conference will be translated simultaneous German – English.
For a rethink and a change in the training culture of medical and therapeutical professions, we run the conference without sponsorship and industry exhibition!
We are looking forward to exciting national and international experts, practical workshops and a wide-ranging congress programme and hope to meet you soon in Duisburg close to the River Rhine.
A warm welcome to our congress!
